No school today! The kids were thrilled to see all the snow and the blue sky makes it great for photos. Too bad we forgot Eli's warm jacket at Whidbey on Sunday. He's been making do with other jackets and lots of layers, but he's getting cold more quickly than the girls. Or maybe it's a boy thing? Temperature is currently 27 degrees. Hans shovelled snow for about 2 hours just the clear the driveway. He took a little extra time to deliberately pile snow in a particular spot for the kids to make a fort. I'm going to pull out Abby's badge book in a bit to give her some directed activities since they have a Frosty Fun badge in there she can earn. Sometimes being a girl scout is extra fun.
On a side note, Abby's story was accepted for the Young Author's conference!
